My work involves a participatory rural approach which will provide an environment for smallholder farmers to share experience on what is working for them and what is not working in terms of coping strategies to counter the effects of climate change on crop production. Also the research will further assess why farmers do what they do and why not. The basis for this, is to pin point the needed solutions (that is, good agricultural practices to be climate smart) to enhance productivity and improve farmers livelihoods.
I have worked as an extension agent in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources and also National Food Reserve Agency, Nigeria before moving to the UK to further my education. My interests include: rural development, agricultural extension practices among others.
